I have posted my newest Gimp 2.8 tutorial, and I think it will have appeal for some of you on deviantArt. The tutorial is only 4 minutes long, but has two parts. The first is a simple, but effective, way to add a shadow along with a cut-out figure in a scene. The second has fun with the concept and shows both how you could set up a shadow that was doing something different than the figure (see the left on the video cover photo), and how you could animate the shadow to make a cinemagraph where the shadow does something independent. Enjoy! (If you do like the video, be sure to Like it to let me know. Thanks!)
